Joshua cracks me up! This kid talks 100 miles per hour, 24 hours per day! There are days he takes my sanity and there are days he saves my sanity (if that makes sense?). He says the funniest things. People are always telling me funny things he has said to them. Anyway, last night he wanted to talk to my dad. This is what I heard of their conversation:
"Hi Grandpa! Guess what, I had to get 4 shots today".
"Yeah, at the doctor."
"I had to pee in a bottle!"
"It was really fun. I like to pee in a bottle, I want to do it again!"
"And then I ate a bug."
"Yeah, I ate a bug at the doctor."
Laughing, "I didn't really eat a bug. That was just a joke. I tricked you." More laughing.
"So, what do you want to talk about now, grandpa?"
"Do you want to talk about potatoes?"
"Ok bye!"
Click. He hung up.
I don't know that I will ever understand this child's thought process. He definitely makes me laugh. I am glad to be his mom.

Enjoying Spring!
This picture is from our second Easter egg hunt. As you can see, my girls are loving it!! I forgot my camera at our first big Easter egg hunt, but the kids had a great time. And picked up far too much candy! I am paying for it now, because I can't stop eating it!
Yesterday was such a nice day. I took the kids to the park with some of their cousins and they had a blast! Abbie and Ellie especially loved the slides and swings.

How to ride a bicycle
I have been trying to teach Parson and Josh to ride their bikes. I took their training wheels off and have been more or less holding them up as they try to figure it out. I try to be calm and positive to them. Most people see me as a patient person, but when I am doing this, I lose my patience! I don't know why I get so frustrated. Sooo... I know I don't have that many readers, but if there is anyone reading this that has any advice or ideas to help the boys or to help me in this situation, I would love to hear from them!

Easter Fun
I saw this idea on tip junkie and decided to give it a try. My boys and I "egged" two of our neighbors houses. We had a great time doing it! We put the little sign on their door and put plastic candy filled eggs on their porches and front lawn. Then we knocked and ran. This wasn't an idea I would have come up with, but it was awesome! The kids loved doing it. We watched from a distance as the kids gathered all the eggs and candy. The best part for me was afterwards, when Josh said "mommy that made me feel really good."
Happy Birthday Parson!
Friday March 14 was Parson's birthday. I can't believe he is 7! He had a party that day after school. This was his first 'friend' party. We took him and Josh and 5 of his friends to see the new movie "Dr. Seuss Horton Hears a Who." The kids ranged in age from 3 to 7 and they all absolutely loved this movie. It was a great time. I even found myself laughing a few times. Then on Saturday he had a party with my family and everyone came over for pizza and fun. He got some great gifts and I think he had a great time! Thanks everyone!

Silly Josh
Joshua is 4 years old and he is a very silly boy. In fact, last halloween he was a clown and everybody just loved his costume because it fit his personality so well.
I enrolled him in preschool this year and he has absolutely loved it. His teacher, Ms. Michelle, is so very creative and patient. Every day he brings home some kind of project and at least once a week he brings home a masterpiece that he has painted. They also go on lots of field trips. It has been so great and I am so glad we decided to do preschool! He brought home a vase that he had made on Friday and he told me, "mom, I made this for you, but I really like it, so I'm just going to keep it o.k. It's mine, not yours." I had to laugh.
Another funny Joshua story. He has been asking my brothers and sisters if he can buy their babies and how much do they cost? He says he'll have to start saving his money.:)
Speaking of money, that reminds me of another story about Josh. A few months ago we were having real problem with Josh hitting his brother, Parson. After trying several different methods of discipline, my husband came up what we thought was a great solution. We told Josh that every time we catch him slugging Parson, he was going to have to pay him money from his piggy bank. Well, it worked for a little while. Josh didn't want to lose his money and of course Parson was happy to take it. One night we realized this was not going to work. We were down stairs in the living room and Josh found a penny on the carpet. He immediately walked over to his brother and handed him the penny. Then he said "Here Parson" and socked him a good one.

Parson lost a tooth!
Last night as I was making dinner, Parson comes in and asks me if I will pull his tooth out. I began to tell him that it was not ready to come out yet-just as I had been telling him for weeks. He started wiggling it and it looked SO ready. It was barely hanging on! So I agreed to try and gave it a little twist and it fell right out. You would have thought I'd saved the world. He was ecstatic! He began jumping around the house! He tried to call his dad, his grandma, his grandpa, two of his aunts, two of his uncles and when not one of them answered, he called his neighbor friends! And then he went over to another neighbor to show them! It was so funny to me how excited he was about it. He was the last kid in his first grade class to lose a tooth and he was very excited to show his teacher in school today. What a funny kid.

I have been reading several blogs for the past couple weeks and honestly I never thought of myself as a blogging person, but people do such fun things and it just looks fun! So I decided to give it a try. I spent hours today trying to put together a cute page like so many I have seen. Then I decided I must be a blog idiot, because I couldn't figure it out! Anyway I will keep trying and one of these days my blog will be cute too! You'll see!
