We left Saturday early in the AM and arrived at Lake Powell that morning. We stayed until Wednesday mid-morn. My family has vacationed there every year as long as I can remember. It's so much fun! Although it can be pretty scary, too, if the weather is bad. This trip we endured some pretty strong wind at bed time every night, but that was the worst of it. It caught us off guard the first night and actually broke one of our tent poles. (Did I mention that I just bought this tent for Matt for Father's Day? Piece of crap!)
After that we were ready for it, though.
We had a lot of fun! We swam a whole lot. We also jumped some small cliffs, rode the hotdog and tubes, and wake boarded. We even had a King of the Hill contest. We didn't go out and see a lot of sites or canyons like we usually do, due to gas prices.

We shared our campsite with a few toads, tons of fish, dozens of lizards, and a scorpion. On day 2 my brother-in-law came across this unexpected visitor.
We had a great trip! And fortunately, we made it home without any major sunburns or injuries!!:)
