I have noticed lately that Parson asks Joshua which girl is doing something. He'll say "Josh, which girl is that?" or "who is this one?" So I was asking them, "Parson, you can't tell who is who?" And he said he couldn't. So I asked Josh how he could tell them apart and he told me, (very matter of factly) "Because their faces don't look the same. They look different."
Here is a recent picture of them. What do you think?
I was thinking about another funny story today, so I thought I would share. It was probably a year ago. We were picking up my sister in our minivan to go somewhere with us. My boys sit in the back seat of the van on each side. My sister was going to have to squeeze in between them and sit in the middle. Joshua sits on the passenger side, the side that my sister was entering. It is a tight squeeze, as you can imagine, getting in. My sister starts backing herself into her seat.
Now imagine if you will Joshua sitting in his chair watching her backing herself past him. He says, "Whoa! You've got a big fat butt!!" And of course, my sister says, "Joshua that isn't very nice! You shouldn't say stuff like that. You really think I've got a big butt?" And Josh says, "yes." My sister replied in a quick, sassy voice, "Well, I think you're annoying sometimes."
Hehe, I still laugh when I think of this story. Maybe you have to actually hear my sister's response to find it funny?
Oh well...here's another pic, just for fun!:)

I would have trouble telling them apart too.
Love the picture of the four of them. Really cute kids!!
I bet it would be hard telling them apart...especially for a kid!
Joshua told me "Maybe you have to be a little kid to tell them apart." Im gonna take his word for it. And no comment on the second part:)
I can't tell them apart!
No way could I tell them apart. They look REALLY identical. I usually will dress my twins in different color shorts for an easy way to tell them apart.
I think it can be hard for the kids...I never dress mine alike, so we can always tell...but I can see a difference in your girls faces....we call it "seeing their personalities."
I can't tell your girls apart by picture alone. Like Connie said, the personalities are key!
I can always tell our boys apart, except occaisionally from behind I confuse them. Vivi seems to confuse them more now than when they were infants, which is weird to me.
Cute stories!!
I'm going to go with "alike". :) My kids didn't even attempt to tell Jacob and John apart until they started to interact with them. They have the same answer now when people ask them how they tell the apart. They just say, they look different. Even I have a hard time describing WHAT it is that makes them look different, but they do, even though they don't. :)
I would have trouble telling them apart I'm sure. Am I wrong in thinking that one has a slightly longer face than the other, or is it just the way they are smiling?
Gosh your girls are beautiful.
I think it is really hard to tell my nieces (Shannon's twins) apart in pictures. When I see them I can tell them apart. I think your girls look exactly alike, but I bet if I knew them I would be able to tell. I don't know what exactly defines what a person, but is more than just looks.
Your girls definintly look identical! For some reason I notice kids can figure out who's who with Kayla and Chloe before grown ups do. It's weird!
yeah, and kids say the darndest things!!
HA!!! LOL! Your poor sister.
Your girls look crazy alike :)
Yep - they're identical. lol
My girls went through a time where they would ask, who's that? all of the time, but they are starting to tell them apart more. My girls are younger though - and Chloe has more hair - so it's easier. Your girls are difficult to tell apart.
Luke does the same thing. He used to call them both Sunny. I guess he figured he'd be right half the time. Now he just points and says, "Mama, that guy is crying" or "That guy is stinky." Why he calls them "guy" I'll never know since they are gals. lol. Your girls do look very much alike!
Hey they look different in the bottom picture but the top one...whoa. THE SAME.
And in your post when you say...
here's another pic for fun...
I so thought it was going to be a picture of your sister's butt.!
