Miserable!! (Graphic Photo Warning)

I hate cold sores. It's the worst when small kids are so sick and sad and you can't do a darned thing for them. It's such a horrible, helpless feeling. Luckily the fever has let up, unfortunately my baby girl still looks like this...

Ugly, nasty, mean, miserable cold sore. What'd she ever do to you?
Go away, go away, don't come back another day!!

♥ Oh man! Poor girl! I get them too and they suck but I don't think I've even seen so many at one time.

It sucks when there's nothing you can do for your child that's in pain!

Oh my gosh. That is horrifying. You might want to have her checked for hand foot and mouth. My nephew had it one halloween and he thought it was cold sores too. The fever is the things that really makes me wonder. Anyway she took him in and guess what highly contagious hand, foot and mouth. Guess what ... we all got it. I am telling you it was the most painful thing ever. The entire mouth was and lips covered in sores and the fever made it all the more miserable. My Sydney did not eat a morsel or drink well for days. IT WAS HORRIBLE. I can't help but think this looks so similar. Either way... I hope they are better soon. Poor you and the girls!

Oh, Jaime. How awful. I do agree with Laura. The fever is what makes me think that, along with her red, swollen gums. If her fever has been high and she wasn't eating, I'd say it was that. Angus had it with the sores inside his mouth, super high fever, extreme irratiblity, and no appetite. It lasted over a week. Not much you can do about it except treat pain/fever, and feed very soft foods.

Meanwhile, I've had a small cold sore this last week - HATE them!

Get well soon little one.

Poor little baby girl! What's with the cute little lips? My friend's DD just had hers sewn back together (plastic surgery) after falling on her way to greet mommy.

*sorry, i commented under my DHs login.

Oh, I'm so sorry Jaime! I know Shannon had cold sores and her grandma found some stuff that made them go away within a day. Can't remember what it was though...you may want to do some research or ask her doctor. Good luck!
