Do you Black Friday?

I do! I love hunting out the ads for the best deal on Thanksgiving night. I love going out well before the rooster crows and getting the best bargains! (And that's saying something, because I am NOT an early riser by any stretch of the words!) Very few things in life give me greater pleasure than getting something I really want for a great deal! I LOVE it! I love telling my hubby, "and this would normally cost $XX, but I found it for $X!!"

I think part of why I love shopping on this day is because I have money to spend. I am almost expected to spend. I am not just spending frivolously. It's for Christmas, so it's ok. I think of everyone on my list and what great things I will find at a great deal. I started going out years ago and think of it as a tradition now. Sometimes I go by myself, sometimes I talk my sisters into going with me.

Don't worry, I'm not one of the crazy people that will steal the Wii out of your cart as I run you down with mine. Nope, not one of those. But trust me, I've seen them. I know a lot of people that hate this kind of shopping. My mom and my husband, for example. I think they would each take a bullet before they would brave any store on this dreaded day. I, on the other hand look forward to it. It gives me some kind of strange high.

I have to admit, there have been years that I have been disappointed with the black Friday (lack of) deals. I am hoping this year retailers will have some great stuff, making us want to spend.

So, do you Black Friday?

Nope, not usually. When I worked at Staples, I had to deal with the Black Friday crowd 2 years in a row...think it got the excitment taken out of me. But, maybe I'll start again...good luck to you on finding some great stuff!

I hate early mornings but Shopping can get me up. I like staying up for the midnight madness part of black friday more. We are heading up to Park City and then maybe Gymboree. I am done Christmas shopping for the most part.

♥ I like black friday too. When I'm at my mom's for thxgiving we all plan out where we want to go and the times and sometimes we split up to get all the great deals! My husband hates it too and thinks I'm insane! But all of my sisters and sister inlaw love it too! :)

My husband lives for Black Friday, but he does it all on the internet. He has already been scoping out deals. I can't say I get all that into it, but reading your post kind of makes me want to get out there and try it!!!

Totally loving Black Friday! I did it one year before I decided that I wasn't feeling well enough to do it again. The next year? Joe went shopping...now he shops every year...weird, huh?

The man gets good deals, I get to sleep in...it works for all sides.

Happy shopping!

I do not Black Friday. My mom does and I am always jealous of her finds but I do not do well with crowds when I am shopping. I like to shop in peace LOL.

Good luck with your hunting this year. I have a feeling there will be many deals to stimulate spending :)

No, I have never Black Friday'd. BUT, this year I am. No special reason...my mom and I decided we want to do something fun, so we're going to try BF shopping. Of course, we'll be dragging my 3 kids with us so it might be a VERY short trip. I've always wanted to do the 4am shopping. That sounds like it'd be fun. Shop until 7 am and then go get some coffee. mmmmmm....! That's definitely something you don't do with kids, so the 4am stuff will have to wait. Maybe next year!

I don't, normally, but I sent Luke to Best Buy on Friday at 5 am to get an MP3 player, and he said it was CRAZY!! I kind of wish I went, I'm the one that drives through the plaza in our city to look at all thhe holiday shoppers...

So did you score some fabulous bargains?

I avoid Black Friday like the plague, but did hit up Ikea on the Saturday for an awesome deal.
