My First Runaway!

That's right, I said runaway. Friday, after a very long and awful day for me, Josh told me that our house was BORING and he wanted to live somewhere else. He then proceeded to pack his backpack with the necessities- his favorite blanket and a pillow- and asked me if I could deliver his bed to him. Then he walked to a neighbor's house, knocked on the door and asked if he could live with them. No big fight or argument-he wasn't even in trouble. It was just because he didn't want to live in a boring house. I guess I'll have to try and make things more eventful around here...

This is the best. I actually wrote a childrens book (hasn't been published, or even picked up to be published, but anyway) it's about a "runaway" and I love it. I think running away like this is a healthy part of being a kid. Maybe you should start juggling or something. Maybe then home life wouldn't be quite so boring. j/k

Oh is that funny! I haven't has an official runaway yet but I have seen my Jack staring longingly out the window no doubt wishing he lived somewhere else.

OMGosh! That's too funny! I wonder what your neighbor's thought? At least he wasn't planning to go far away. lol! Its great that he is confident enough to do that.
